Candidate combinations are identified via a rigorous process of antimicrobial and pharmacological screening, informed by extensive in-house expertise and driven by potential for rapid delivery to the market. Syntopix is able to bring to bear an integrated approach identifying antimicrobial synergies using industry standard techniques and predictive models of antimicrobial activity in the skin environment followed up by extensive microbiological evaluation. Cell culture-based assays facilitate predictive in vitro models of toxicity and of pharmacological activities. Our lead compounds and combinations thereof are being moved through a development pipeline which includes patent protection and culminates in phase II clinical trials. Syntopix is currently seeking partnership opportunities to develop its products through to market.
